Nothing too new to report here. I'll be drawing up a list with synopses of my top ten picks for weirdest films of all time. Here's a preview of that list:

Eraserhead, Meet the Feebles, Headless Eyes, Suroh: Alien Hitchhiker, Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster, Videodrome, Wizard of Gore, Xtro, Ostanek, Possession.

It may take a while, since a synopsis for any contender for weirdest film of all time will be difficult to write. Some of these are nearly impossible to explain. In the meantime, you may want to check them out.....

The Prom Night review is up with comparative screen shots. Expect an even more exhaustive review of the 1964 Toho classic Godzilla Vs. Mothra (aka Godzilla Vs. The Thing aka Mothra Vs. Godzilla) comparing the newly-mastered widescreen Japanese and American International prints from Classic Media, the Buddha DVD version from Asia and the old Simitar DVD - complete with screenshots from each. Working on a new review, this time I'll be reviewing the Anchor Bay and Platinum DVDs of Paul Lynch's Prom Night and comparing the quality of the releases. I'm also working on a Be Kind Rewind article for Gorgon Video's Frankenstein '80.

What a lucky bastard I am. Some guy on the block behind me had a yard sale this weekend, and he used to own a video store. Grabbed over ten tapes, all rare horror! I'll be busy watching movies for a few days.....
